West of England, United Kingdom Voscur Full time
About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner. As a key member of our Mental Health Support Team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to children and young people with mild to moderate anxiety, low mood, and some behavioural needs.

Working in partnership with schools and educational settings, you will deliver evidence-based support and interventions, including one-to-one Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and whole-school approach work. You will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with Mental Health Leads, teachers, and other professionals to promote mental health and wellbeing in schools.

About the Training

As a Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner, you will embark on a twelve-month Graduate or Postgraduate Diploma level training course delivered by the University of Exeter. This comprehensive training will equip you with the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviours to provide high-quality mental health support to children and young people.

Upon successful completion of the training, you will be guaranteed permanent employment within our organisation, where you will continue to develop your skills and expertise as a qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner.

About Our Organisation

We are a mental health social movement by and for young people, dedicated to providing creative and diverse mental health and wellbeing information and support to young people across Bristol, South Gloucestershire, and North Somerset. Our approach is grounded in a set of beliefs and assumptions that underpins all of our work, including celebrating diversity, empowering and mobilising young people to make change, and catering to the unique strengths, interests, and circumstances surrounding young people.

We offer a range of benefits to our employees, including a flexible leave policy, healthcare cost assistance, flexible and hybrid working arrangements, enhanced sick pay, parental leave, continual training and development, and more.

What We Offer

We are committed to building and maintaining an environment that values and pursues diversity. We welcome applications from all sections of the community and are proud to be an inclusive and equitable employer.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a network of supportive, community-minded people who share our passion for promoting mental health and wellbeing in young people.
