About the Role

Pinsent Masons is seeking a highly skilled Bid Manager to join our team. As a Bid Manager, you will play a critical role in coordinating the firm's bid process and providing project management oversight to deliver bids on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise on bid strategy, messaging, structure, and overall content direction to create impactful bids that address clients' requirements.
  • Manage the day-to-day operational direction/management of a Bids Executive, including work allocation, reviewing and feedback, managing absences, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Undertake opportunity analysis to determine the viability of bids and ensure they align with the firm's and sector's strategy.
  • Organize kick-off meetings to guide stakeholders in preparing a strategy and allocating responsibilities.
  • Provide strategic advice and coaching to partners.
  • Collate scoping questions and participate in scoping calls/meetings.
  • Coach and mentor a Bids Executive.
  • Work prioritization and allocation.
  • Performance review meetings and feedback.
  • Content management - maintaining and enhancing pre-written content and other standard materials to expand and improve our automated content library.
Requirements
  • Work with stakeholders to gain an understanding of the Energy sector strategy.
  • Taking full responsibility for managing strategic opportunities at tender and presentation stages.
  • Undertake opportunity analysis - is this viable / is the bid in line with firm and sector strategy.
  • Organising kick-off meetings, to guide relevant stakeholders to prepare a strategy and ensure responsibilities are allocated.
  • Providing strategic advice and coaching partners.
