Job Title: Assistant Optical Manager

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure practice efficiency and compliance with organisational procedures
  • Deliver exceptional customer satisfaction with products and services
  • Lead and motivate staff, providing training and development opportunities
  • Maximise patient numbers and sales targets
  • Drive profitability and achieve business objectives
  • Ensure quality control in all areas
  • Manage stock control and maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation
  • Oversee health and safety standards across the practice
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Department to enhance local marketing effectiveness
  • Drive cost efficiencies and optimise business performance
  • Dispense spectacles to prescriptions
  • Ensure compliance with regulations regarding the sale and supply of spectacles and contact lenses
Personal Specification:
  • Previous management experience or a proven track record of developing and supporting staff
  • Strong background in customer service and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care
  • Experience of driving business performance and achieving sales, customer satisfaction, and cost efficiency targets
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and engage staff at all levels
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to put the customer first and act in a professional manner in all situations
  • Positive and outgoing, with a flexible approach to work
  • Well-presented and professional, with attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £20,000.00-£24,000.00 per year

Additional Pay: Bonus scheme

Schedule: 8 hour shift, Day shift, Monday to Friday, Weekend availability
