Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom Newton Colmore Full time

Cambridge-based Medical Devices Company Seeks Senior Mechanical Design Expert

We are a leading organization based in Cambridge, dedicated to developing life-saving Medical Devices. Due to our successful growth plans, we are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to the development and improvement of our products.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with other industry experts, including electronics design engineers, software engineers, physicists, and other Medical Devices specialists. Together, you will tackle complex challenges in the development of new Medical Technologies. Ideally, you will have experience developing new Medical Devices throughout their entire design lifecycle, adhering to ISO 13485 standards.

If you don't have a background in Medical Devices, we will consider candidates from other highly regulated industries, such as life sciences, robotics, or product development. For the 3D CAD elements of your role, you will primarily use SolidWorks. Familiarity with this tool is advantageous, but we are open to considering other 3D CAD tools if you have a proven track record of quickly acquiring new skills.

The ideal candidate will have experience working on complex problems involving fluidics, mechanism design, thermal issues, FEA, or other intricate applications. You will be part of a team that values innovation and excellence, where your work will significantly impact the company's success and projects.

We offer an excellent starting salary, typically around £60,000 per annum (bonus up to 20%, recently even higher), BUPA healthcare, a pension plan, a generous holiday allowance, and other outstanding benefits. If you are passionate about Medical Device development and want to join a dynamic team, please apply for this exciting opportunity.
