About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Clinical Fellow to join our Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Clinical Fellow, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality clinical care to patients with obstetric and gynaecological conditions
  • Teaching and supervising junior doctors and medical students in an undergraduate setting
  • Developing and implementing educational programs to enhance the skills of junior doctors and medical students
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to the development of clinical governance policies
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Postgraduate certificate in Medical Education
  • Language skills as assessed by the GMC
  • Ability to cope independently with common obstetric and gynaecological emergencies
  • Commitment to continuing professional development
  • Work place based assessments and OSATS showing competency for procedures at ST3- 5 level or above
  • Understanding of the principles of Clinical Governance and adherence to CNST standards
Desirable Qualifications:

A higher qualification in a science, or looking to complete PhD/MD in a related topic in the future, is desirable.
