About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join our established Cashiers Team in our Leeds office. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and timely processing of cashiering duties, ensuring compliance with regulations and delivering high service levels to the wider business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process client and office account payments, including foreign, expert, and counsel's suppliers
  • Process client and office account receipts
  • Support international offices with multi-currency transactions
  • Provide interest calculations on request
  • Place client money on and off deposit as required
  • Carry out divisional client balance reviews
  • Deal with matter-related queries from the business
  • Ensure adherence to UK SRA Accounts Rules and international jurisdiction equivalents at all times

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Legal Cashier
  • Strong working knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules and VAT rules
  • Ability to maintain efficient workload, diary, and task management
  • Confident stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Strong IT literacy using Excel, Outlook, etc.
