Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our exceptional Finance team at our Poole site. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the site's daily, weekly, monthly, and annual financial reporting of business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review financial reports, including daily, weekly, and monthly reports, to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support the month-end process, ensuring that all variances and balance sheet reconciliations are accurate and well-documented.
  • Contribute to the generation of the operational elements of the rolling forecast/budget, reviewing and challenging results as necessary.
  • Support the Year-end Stock count audit, including engineering stocks.
  • Attend NPD/Feasibility meetings to understand potential new business opportunities.
  • Review costing proposals with the Central costing team on proposed EPD/NPD products.
  • Ensure that business systems are operating effectively and efficiently, and that the integrity of the information held is maintained to a high standard.
  • Coordinate and communicate with group functions and external parties as required.
  • Support the Finance Manager in the day-to-day management of the Finance Team.

Requirements

  • Experience in risk analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent numerical skills with a good understanding of all elements of the P&L.
  • Ability to analyze and communicate financial information to non-financial personnel, providing recommendations and guidance where necessary.
  • Competent in computer literacy, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Highly numerical/analytical and strong problem-solving skills.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a drive to continually improve processes.
  • Determined and resilient.
  • Concern for results and quality of output.
  • Thoroughness and accuracy.
  • FMCG background, with the ability to work within a fast-paced, changeable environment.
