Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary School in Islington. As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide support to the classroom teacher in preparing and planning daily resources and lessons, as well as marking students' work and using your experience of effective behaviour management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the classroom teacher in preparing and planning daily resources and lessons
  • Mark students' work on occasions
  • Use your experience of effective behaviour management
  • HLTA qualification preferred but not necessary
  • Experience covering lessons is a must
  • Fulfill any required duties defined by the class teacher and be able to teach whole classes in the absence of the classroom teacher
  • Be willing to work between various classes as required with weekly plans

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification preferred but not necessary
  • Experience covering lessons is a must
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
