Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Operations Team at Instarmac Group. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and services, and for implementing quality control measures to prevent defects and errors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee supplier deliveries and ensure that goods received are fit for purpose and as ordered.
  • Coordinate supplier deliveries and drivers on site to ensure timely and safe delivery.
  • Monitor the quality of incoming and outgoing products and relevant inputs throughout the product life cycle.
  • Conduct inspections, analyze results, and report on issues of non-conformance and support investigation.
  • Coordinate all bulk tankers within hours, ensuring the correct material, sampling, and testing takes place.
  • Complete tanker inspections and ensure Delivery Silo Records (DSR) are complete for permit requirements.
  • Ensure DSR process is followed by all tanker off-loaders and notify issues as detected with the relevant departments.
  • Receive, book in, and inspect all palletized materials delivered to I-1, verifying the quality and specification of supplied goods and informing relevant departments of any discrepancies.
  • Complete and update the booking in system upon receipt of deliveries, checking delivery notes match orders placed and tracking down missing documentation.
  • Liaise with production and stock control with regards to deliveries or issues which may impact the order planning schedule.
  • Identify and raise non-conformities where product, quantity, specification, delivery, or site rule failures are found and ensure all information required is included.
  • Raise supplier return notes and ensure pallets are labelled ready for collection.
  • Manage the quarantine area and non-conforming products, ensuring control and quick resolution.
  • Complete inspections of pallets returned to site, to determine route; either returned to stock, skip, rework, etc.
  • Carry out random weight checks on palletized deliveries for product and packaging compliance (packaging pieces, full pallets, and finished goods).
  • Maintain documentation such as Packaging specifications, delivery notes standard folder, driver induction records, and tank/silo information plan.
  • Complete a variety of QHSE inspections, such as pick face audits and finished goods inspections, and record findings accurately. Where issues are found, work with the local teams to seek resolution.
  • Recording results of inspections and audits completed.
  • Support the QHSE Manager with the introduction of new products, quality systems, initiatives, tools, and techniques.
  • Observance of all Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental System requirements and champion these topics with others.
  • Cover of functions and tasks within the QHSE Department as and when required.

  • Proven working knowledge of the principles of Quality Management.
  • Commercial awareness and how quality performance and meeting standards affects the business.
  • Ability to demonstrate credibility and confidence of skill set (people and product safety).
  • Possess a flexible attitude and the ability to prioritize tasks appropriately.
