We are seeking an experienced Fabricator Welder to join our Kingsbury factory team in Tamworth. As a key member of our in-house maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the metal support structure of the kiln car and dryer car fleet
- Remove corroded metal parts using appropriate power tools
- Perform welding and repairs using specialized equipment
- Develop and manage materials and consumable requirements lists
- Assist the production team in removing and replacing refractory supports in kiln cars
- Support the maintenance department as needed
- Participate in the Predictive Maintenance (PIP) Programme
- Contribute to the implementation of 5S's and visual management techniques
- Proven experience as a fabricator/welder in a manufacturing/factory environment
- Strong commitment to safety and health and safety best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Physical fitness to perform duties
- Proficiency in measuring equipment, bench work, and working from engineering drawings
- Experience with MIG and oxyacetylene welding, handheld power tools, and surface grinders
