Job Title: Accident and Emergency Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Accident and Emergency Nurse to join our team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our emergency surgical assessment unit.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where you will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing care to patients with a range of conditions. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat patients, and provide education and support to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage patients with emergency surgical conditions
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • Experience working in an emergency surgical assessment unit or similar setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and improving patient outcomes
