Our client, a leading UK finance house, is seeking a skilled Senior Underwriter to join their team. As a key member of the underwriting team, you will be responsible for evaluating, analysing, and approving credit proposals and transactions. Your expertise will play a crucial role in driving business growth and ensuring the company's continued success.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, credit risk assessment, and underwriting. You will have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines. Your excellent communication and stakeholder management skills will enable you to build strong relationships with colleagues and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed credit reviews and sanction asset finance transactions up to a personal credit underwriting mandate limit.
  • Analyse and provide recommendations on transactions being presented to the Transactional Credit Committee.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of credit policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and mitigate credit risk.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including sales teams and external partners.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in financial analysis and credit risk assessment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant experience in asset finance or a related field.
