Electrical Systems Engineer

 

About the Job

As an Electrical Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment at oil terminals.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical components related to oil storage, pumping, and distribution systems.

This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components at the oil terminal.
  • Evaluate electrical schematics to identify and resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Perform routine checks on electrical instruments and gauges to maintain accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate records of electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding work progress and challenges.
Person Specification
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in various physical situations and be able to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
Qualifications
  • Level 3 Electrical qualification / completion of an apprenticeship program in Electrical industry.
  • CompEx EX01-04 Qualification.
  • Proven experience as an electrician.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
