Job Overview

A Registered Nurse is required to work as part of the Goole Ophthalmology team, responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.

The post holder will be responsible for allocating and checking the work of junior staff and healthcare assistants.

Main Duties of the Job

Supporting the holistic care of ophthalmology adults and children.

Undertaking diagnostic tests and the admission and discharge of eye surgery patients.

Performing pre-assessment clinics and supporting colleagues within the ophthalmic team.

Expected Salary Range: £30,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience.

Person Specification

  • Registered Nurse - in an appropriate branch

  • Diploma/Degree in Nursing (Desirable)

  • Qualified mentor (ENB 998 or equivalent) or working towards

  • Minimum six months post-registration experience in a relevant specialty

  • Experience of being 'in charge' of a shift

  • Training in handling and administration of blood
