Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Technical Apprentice - ICT Team member to join our ICT team at Holy Family Catholic Multi Academy Trust. As an IT Apprentice, you will work closely with the ICT team to support teaching, learning, and administration through effective IT services. This hands-on role will provide you with training and experience in troubleshooting, network maintenance, and supporting classroom technology.

In this role, you will work towards your IT Support Level 3 Apprenticeship delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships. You will participate in structured training to enhance your skills and knowledge, with full training and support provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for equipment, including desktop computers, laptops, tablets, printers, and interactive whiteboards.
  • Set up IT equipment for lessons, assemblies, and events.
  • Monitor and maintain the schools' network, including servers, switches, and wireless systems.
  • Support the installation and configuration of software and hardware.
  • Maintain and support classroom technology such as projectors, smartboards, and AV equipment.
  • Assist with educational platforms like Microsoft Teams and Google Classroom.
  • Manage inventory of ICT equipment, including logging and tracking hardware and software licenses.

Salary and Benefits

Estimated salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum. We offer 36 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 8am-4pm) and 22 days plus bank holidays (holidays to be taken outside of term time). Additionally, you will be enrolled in a Level 3 IT Support Apprenticeship, providing formal qualifications and practical skills, with access to one-to-one mentoring sessions and on-the-job training that aligns with your career goals.
