At QuEST Global, we are seeking a highly skilled Lead Stress Engineer to join our team of experts in the field of stress analysis.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned stress analysis professional with a strong background in gas turbine design and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of 2D and 3D stress analysis, including gas turbine rotating parts and structural components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform stress analysis of assigned components, including ownership of stress analysis and collaboration with support functions as needed.
  • Interface with global engineering organizations and other internal organizations to support activity on assigned components.
  • Generate and deliver technical/program presentations to internal and external customers as required.
  • Write Design Study Summaries, Technical Memorandums, Coordination Memos, and Certification Reports to document design engineering activity on assigned components.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in gas turbine design and analysis.
  • Familiarity with ANSYS Mechanical APDL or Workbench, meshing applications such as Hypermesh or UG NX, and computer aided modeling programs such as UG NX.
  • Prior experience with component life analysis (fatigue, damage tolerance, and fracture mechanics) is preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to emerging customer demands and be proactive in approach.

Computer Requirements:

  • PC-based Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), ANSYS Classic, Hypermesh, UG NX, PLM Teamcenter, Salesforce, and other specified applications to complete mechanical design activities.
