Job Description

Barchester Healthcare is a leading provider of high-quality care services, with a network of care homes and hospitals across the UK. We are seeking experienced Care Assistants to join our team, providing person-centered support to our residents and promoting their independence and well-being.

About the Role

As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting residents with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to residents, engaging them in activities and conversations
  • Maintaining a safe and comfortable environment, ensuring that residents' needs are met
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Communicating effectively with residents, families, and colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of caring for older people, with a focus on person-centered support
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A can-do attitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt
  • Empathy and compassion, with a commitment to delivering exceptional care

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £22,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including:

Working Hours

This is a Bank position, requiring flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and bank holidays. You will need to be available to work at short notice, with your hours varying from week to week.
