Highway Infrastructure Maintenance Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving highway safety infrastructure in the Powys area, ensuring efficient traffic flow and road safety.
About the Role- Deliver Traffic Management responsibilities under the direction of the Area Traffic Officer.
- Maintain and improve highway safety infrastructure to enable safe and expedient traffic movement.
- Under the direction of the Area Traffic Officer, take responsibility for delivering Traffic Management services for Powys.
- Provide advice and support using knowledge and skills in developing bespoke design solutions.
- Manage and maintain the Authority's Road Traffic collision database.
- Collect, analyze, and report on injury road traffic collisions or other traffic data.
- Liaise with the general public, County Councillors, statutory bodies, utilities, and other authorities on traffic-related matters.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize workload to meet strict deadlines.
- Computer skills in various systems, including GIS and AutoCAD.
- Detailed report writing.
- Investigation techniques.
- Good analytical skills.
The role will involve working with a variety of stakeholders, including the general public, statutory bodies, and other authorities. A good understanding of highway infrastructure and traffic management principles is essential.
CompensationWe offer a competitive salary of around £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme and annual leave entitlement.
