We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Hand Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital. As a key member of our physiotherapy department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, effective clinical care to patients with hand therapy needs.
About the Role:
- Manage a complex clinical caseload of hand therapy patients referred from Consultants, GP's, PMI's or self referrals, as well as post-operative patients.
- Work within a multidisciplinary team including nurses, AHP's and consultants, playing a key role in helping our patients recover to the level of health and wellbeing that they aspire to.
- Liaise closely with our orthopaedic hand surgeons, running clinics alongside them.
- Exercise a high degree of professional autonomy and integrity, with excellent communication skills.
- Participate and provide support to the national Nuffield Health Hand Therapy network with regular supervision sessions.
Requirements:
- BSc in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or equivalent and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
- Demonstrate evidence of further professional hand therapy specific training and continual professional development.
- Minimum of 5 years experience working in the field of hand therapy, with experience of leading a service desirable.
- Excellent hand therapy and splinting skills, with the ability to engage effectively with the general public and other healthcare professionals.
