Job Description:
The UAV Systems Development Manager will be responsible for leading the development of general Systems Engineering to maximise the strategic capabilities of our client's product. This includes developing and implementing a System roadmap, managing relationships with new and existing suppliers/stakeholders, making informed decisions that balance stakeholder requirements, and identifying and mitigating technical risks within projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading the development of general Systems Engineering to maximise the strategic capabilities of our client's product
  • Developing and implementing a System roadmap that aligns with the company's strategic objectives
  • Managing relationships with new and existing suppliers/stakeholders
  • Making informed decisions that balance stakeholder requirements and ensure project efficiency
  • Identifying and mitigating technical risks within projects

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in Systems Engineering, with a focus on UAV systems
  • Strong understanding of technologies relevant to UAV design and operation, including secure communications and network architectures
  • Ability to rapidly perform system-level trade-offs and access sub-system options
  • Knowledge of manufacturing engineering techniques and methodologies
  • Experience in establishing and working within formal organisational approval schemes (including Part 21)

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges

Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum.
