Job Introduction

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Operational Support Officer to join our team at HMP Altcourse. As an Operational Support Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors, and residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a high level of interpersonal skills to engage with and manage the people you look after.
  • Develop a proactive approach to Equality and Inclusion, Health and Safety, and challenging inappropriate behaviour in a calm and reasonable manner.
  • Perform tasks alone or in a team to a high standard without constant supervision.
  • Take a proactive and systematic approach to tasks, ensuring a smooth operation of the prison.
