The successful candidate will be responsible for securing new and existing high-value risks, providing top-tier underwriting for complex exposures in familiar risk categories. They will also focus on maximizing GWP from significant risks in the UK and lead by example, influencing other underwriters and exerting a broader impact within their field of expertise at a national level.
Key Responsibilities
- Expertly underwrite complex policies, providing top-tier service to our clients.
- Concentrate on high-value policies in the mid-market sector, maximizing GWP from significant risks in the UK.
- Lead by example, influencing other underwriters and exerting a broader impact within your field of expertise at a national level.
- Act as a brand ambassador, renowned for your underwriting expertise in Hiscox's established risk categories.
- Impart expertise through coaching and training, enhancing our mid-market capabilities.
- Build and maintain strategic broker relationships, ensuring a robust market presence in the mid-market sector.
Requirements
- An excellent understanding of UK retail business and underwriting larger, more complex risks.
- In-depth expertise in your specialized field.
- Excellent knowledge of the insurance market, industry, competitors, brokers, and factors that can affect the market, including soft/hard markets.
