About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Media Account Director to join our team at McKenna Townsend. As a key member of our agency, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of comprehensive social media strategies for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement annual and monthly social media strategies to enhance brand image, boost engagement, and improve conversion rates for clients
  • Take a proactive approach to client account management, building and nurturing strong relationships with key clients
  • Lead the planning, design, execution, and monitoring of social media campaigns across multiple platforms
  • Work closely with internal teams to curate and manage multimedia content, build and develop audience profiles, and set up and manage social media advertising campaigns
  • Monitor social media channels for performance, providing detailed reports and actionable insights to clients
Requirements and Skills
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior social media management role, ideally within an agency environment
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing high-performing social media campaigns
  • Expertise in using major social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok) and related tools for audience development, content creation, and advertising
  • Strong copywriting skills, with the ability to craft engaging, on-brand content across various platforms
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously
  • Experience managing client budgets and optimising campaigns for ROI
