Job Overview

The Pension Fund Governance Specialist will play a crucial role in the development, implementation, and delivery of retirement plans and benefits programs for Barclays. This position requires strong analytical and communication skills to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement retirement plans and benefits programs aligned with Barclays' strategy and risk management framework.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to oversee the UKRF funding and investment strategy, including Responsible Investment policy, funding and investment disclosures, and engagement with the internal investment team.
  • Analyze complex data from various sources to inform investment decisions and ensure alignment with Barclays' values and objectives.
  • Support the Trustee Board Investment Committee (IC) and Defined Contribution Committee (DCC) by drafting agendas, planning meetings, and coordinating project deliverables.
Requirements
  • Strong technical knowledge of investment strategy, investment markets, asset classes, pension funding regulations, and actuarial techniques.
  • Experience working with pension schemes with defined benefit and defined contribution arrangements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary range of £80,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as excellent benefits package, including health insurance, pension scheme, and annual bonus.
