Kerry is a leading global company that values innovation and collaboration. We are currently seeking an Automation Specialist to join our team in Ossett, UK.

Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Automation Specialist to support our team with Integrated PLC systems across site due to the site being largely automated. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with the shift engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policy and regulations.
  • Carry out risk assessments and implement controls to minimize risks.
  • Perform electrical project work from concept to installation.
  • Resolve technical electrical breakdowns solely and assist shift engineers when needed.
  • Manage version control of onsite software backups.
  • Backup onsite equipment including server systems, HMI/SCADA systems, PLCs, motor drives, and servo systems.
  • Document lessons learned for site/engineers on recent projects or improvements completed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and at least 2 years of experience in automation and electrical systems. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.

Benefits:
Kerry offers a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, pension scheme, and generous holiday allowance.
