Care Support Specialist

Care Support Specialists are required to work in an environment that provides a high level of care and support, focusing on vulnerable adults in their own homes. They facilitate the comfort and well-being of clients and actively promote independence.
Responsibilities:- To visit clients in their homes as directed by management
- Communicate any concerns regarding a client, family, or staff member to the relevant supervisor
- Proactively identify issues, resolve them when possible, and document or escalate to the relevant supervisor otherwise
- Take responsibility for the service, working independently to deliver a high level of care and support
- Prepare and serve meals, drinks, and snacks as needed
- Assist clients with personal care such as bathing, grooming, and getting dressed
- Support clients with toileting needs, including changing pads if necessary
- Provide client-specific care like moving and repositioning, changing catheter bags
- Administer oral and topical medication according to the client's care plan
- Perform household tasks such as grocery shopping and laundry
- Help prevent social isolation by arranging outings and social visits
- Offer mental and emotional support to clients
- Maintain accurate records of the care provided
- Report any concerns or incidents to the relevant supervisor
- Lead by example, being professional, polite, and reasonable in all interactions
