Embark on a Career in Aerospace Engineering

As an Aerospace Engineer Apprentice at Safran, you will be part of a team that designs, tests, manufactures, and assembles landing gear used on commercial aircraft, including Airbus and Boeing, and UK military aircraft such as the Eurofighter Typhoon. Our Gloucester division has been at the forefront of cutting-edge landing gear technology for over 90 years.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with industry leaders and the latest equipment, gaining valuable experience in aircraft production while working alongside the brightest minds in aerospace engineering. As an apprentice, you will have the chance to develop your skills and knowledge in areas such as design, development, specification, analysis, testing, validation, and modification of design solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop solutions to satisfy customer requirements and in-service operations.
  • Comply with statutory regulations and organisational safety requirements.
  • Use and interpret engineering data and documentation.
Requirements

We are looking for individuals who have a keen interest in science, engineering, and aerospace, and can demonstrate a methodical and thorough approach to work. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential, along with excellent planning and organisational abilities. You should be a motivated and hard-working individual who is able to effectively work as part of a team and on your own.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • GCSE: Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics, or equivalent.
  • 3 A-levels to include a Grade C or above in Mathematics, one Science or technology.
