About Soda Data NV

We're on a mission to bring everyone closer to the data. Our integrated platform allows teams to discover, prioritize, and collaboratively resolve data issues. We're looking for a Legal Counsel to join our team and help us navigate the complexities of commercial contracting.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of what's important to the counterparty in a negotiation and be able to formulate a compromise proposal that addresses the underlying concern of the customer but protects Soda's interests. They will also have a calm, friendly demeanor in customer-facing negotiations and be able to cope with irregular workloads and sudden short deadlines.

The scope of work will broadly include:

  • Commercial Contracting
    • Reviewing and redlining commercial contracts from prospective customers
    • Participating in calls with prospects, walking through redlines and negotiating compromise language with their legal counsel
    • Reviewing NDAs and working with external counsel for any specialty areas we can't take on ourselves
  • Amendments with Existing Customers
    • Drafting amendments to existing contracts where necessary
  • Other
    • Reviewing contracts with partners, suppliers, and employees
    • Maintaining our legal folder

The successful candidate will have a law degree, experience with hands-on legal work, and fluency in English equivalent to a native speaker. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have a strong ability to manage internal stakeholders.
