Job Overview:

The Release Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of processes and procedures for the deployment of IT infrastructure and software. This includes the configuration and testing of hardware and software components for live environments. The role requires close collaboration with IT Infrastructure development, support, and project teams to ensure consistent packaging of releases and effective communication of changes to stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement release management processes to ensure efficient and effective deployment of IT infrastructure and software.
  2. Collaborate with IT Infrastructure development, support, and project teams to ensure consistent packaging of releases.
  3. Configure and test hardware and software components for live environments.
  4. Coordinate communication of changes to stakeholders.
  5. Develop and champion new release management processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  1. Education to degree level or professional qualification.
  2. ITIL Foundation Certificate.
  3. Prince 2 Foundation.
  4. Proven record in IT environment of project/programme planning to agreed timescales.
