Hardware Development Specialist

Langham Recruitment is seeking a Hardware Development Specialist to join our clients team, focusing on the development of cutting-edge hardware solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital circuits and embedded systems, with expertise in HDL coding (VHDL/Verilog) and experience with tools like Xilinx Vivado, Vitis, and System Verilog.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design and develop FPGA systems, from specification to production.
- Create detailed FPGA designs based on system requirements.
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to optimize FPGA architecture.
- Implement protocols such as Ethernet, PCI, USB, UART, SPI, and I2C.
- Develop test benches and simulations for functional compliance.
- Use debugging tools to optimize performance and power use.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
- 5+ years of experience in hardware design and debugging.
- Strong grasp of RTL design, synthesis, and timing closure.
- Experience with FPGA/SoC architectures (Xilinx, Intel, Microsemi).
**Salary:** £50,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
