Associate Director of Quantum

Maxim Recruitment is seeking an experienced Associate Director of Quantum to join a leading consultancy in Edinburgh. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the development of contract and commercial strategies to recover performance of distressed projects and major programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of contract and commercial strategies to successfully recover performance of distressed projects and major programmes.
  • Review and assess contemporaneous project records to establish quantum associated with claims and/or disputes.
  • Conduct quantum forensic analysis of tender, contract, and claims documentation.
  • Effectively manage stakeholders, including clients and supply-chain partners.
  • Critically analyse project and major programme performance, identifying root causes of distress.
  • Support the pursuit of claims up or down the supply-chain, leading to successful negotiated resolution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management or a similar degree in construction.
  • Master's degree in applicable construction specialism, preferably in construction law.
  • Strong report writing skills and experience in leading the pursuit of claims.
  • Knowledge of relevant applications and technologies in quantity surveying and commercial management.
