Process Safety Leadership Expert

Join The Specialist Group as a Process Safety Leadership Expert and take on a challenging role that requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a passion for safety.
About the Role:This exciting opportunity will see you lead and facilitate process hazard reviews, perform consequence modeling, and prepare occupied building siting reports. You will also be responsible for preparing SIL assessments, hazardous area electrical classification schedules, and fire protection deliverables.
Your experience working with EPC or design functions of operating companies will be invaluable in this role, particularly if you have experience with Ammonia synthesis, Syngas generation, Hydrogen separation/liquefaction, CO2 capture/purification, or Cryogenic Air Separation.
You will work closely with our team to develop site plot plan layouts, resolve emergency response requirements, and participate in site reviews to evaluate third-party exposure. Travel may be required to support commissioning and start-up activities.
What We Offer:We offer a competitive salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications. In addition to a generous salary, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, pension scheme, and annual leave.
Requirements:- You must be in possession of a UK work permit.
- A degree in Chemical Engineering is essential, with significant experience working as a Process Safety Engineer.
- You should have experience leading/facilitating hazard review and LOPA studies, using software tools such as DNV PHAST & PHAWorks.
- Experience supervising, training, and developing junior team members is also desirable.
