About the Role

Sanderson Recruitment Plc is seeking an experienced Operational Technical Specialist to join our team in a life and pensions administration service provider. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing occupational/private pensions and life consultancy to all areas of our account, ensuring compliance with legislation and eliminating any areas of exposure to the company.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Support senior managers, technical colleagues, and QA area to ensure training, referrals, auditing, and HMRC rules are completed in line with HMRC and legislative requirements and systems functionality/processes.
  • Interpret policy documents, rules, and regulations to identify benefits to be provided and appropriate beneficiaries in the event of a non-standard claim.
  • Liaise with operational management to ensure correct procedures are followed and identify and resolve any existing or proposed business initiatives to minimize risk to our company and our clients.
  • Provide technical support to the change area, including meeting attendance, document review, testing, review business requirements documents, providing feedback, and eventual technical sign-off.

Requirements

  • Good knowledge and understanding of FCA and PRA guidelines.
  • Knowledge and understanding of pensions and life legislation and HMRC provisions.
  • Experience in approving or drafting policy documents and customer documentation.
  • Ability to work on own initiative to agreed timescales and manage own workload.
