People Advisor (ER Specialist) Role

Location: Worthing, Hybrid working, need to travel across Southern Water region

Contract Type: 6 month Fixed Term Contract with view of becoming permanent

Hours: 37 hrs

Salary: Up to £44,000 based on Skills and experience

About the Role

Southern Water is committed to supporting its staff and maintaining a positive relationship with its employees. As a People Advisor working within the People Services team, you will be the first point of contact for Southern Water employees at all levels, providing HR advice and support in line with organisational policies, procedures, and legal requirements, with a focus on ER cases.

You will provide a dedicated HR advisory service in relation to a range of employment and employee relations matters, covering areas such as Employment law, ER, TUPE, Org design. You will be a motivated and focussed individual who is comfortable with managing a high volume of case loads as well as a wide range of case types.

This role requires you to have a full UK driving licence and own car as there will be a need to travel across patch to support your cases. You will be working towards a Junior Business Partner position in the long run.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide HR advice and support to employees at all levels

Requirements

You will be CIPD Qualified and have extensive knowledge of HR policies and processes with the ability to work within set parameters and understand governance and compliance policies, including Data Protection principles.

The role requires excellent attention to detail and planning skills with the ability to build authentic trust-based relationships at all levels of business.
