People Advisor (ER Specialist) Role

Location: Worthing, Hybrid working, need to travel across Southern Water region

Contract Type: 6 month Fixed Term Contract with view of becoming permanent

Hours: 37 hrs

Salary: Up to £44,000 based on Skills and experience

About the Role

Southern Water is committed to supporting its staff and maintaining a positive relationship with its employees. We are looking to expand our People Services team and are seeking a motivated and focussed People Advisor to join us.

As a People Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for Southern Water employees at all levels, providing HR advice and support in line with organisational policies, procedures, and legal requirements, with a focus on ER cases.

You will provide a dedicated HR advisory service in relation to a range of employment and employee relations matters, covering areas such as Employment law, ER, TUPE, Org design.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced People Advisor to join a team where progression is encouraged, working toward a Junior Business Partner position in the long run.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide HR advice and support to employees at all levels
  • Manage a high volume of case loads and a wide range of case types
  • Travel across the Southern Water region to support cases
  • Build authentic trust-based relationships at all levels of business
  • Work within set parameters and understand governance and compliance policies, including Data Protection principles
Requirements

We are looking for a CIPD Qualified individual with extensive knowledge of HR policies and processes. You will have excellent attention to detail and planning skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
