Solent Mind is seeking a skilled Peer Recovery Worker to join our team. As a Peer Recovery Worker, you will work closely with our NHS colleagues to provide peer support services within local communities, enhancing mental health care at the primary level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with primary care colleagues to identify individuals who may benefit from peer support and develop plans accordingly.
- Provide one-to-one and group support to service users, managing a caseload to support their recovery and access to necessary resources.
- Work collaboratively with team members and services to support individuals in a person-centered manner, helping them articulate their needs and goals.
- Support individuals in developing skills and techniques to promote their wellbeing.
About You
You will have a strong understanding of the role of peer support in mental health and the ability to utilize your lived experience to make a positive impact. Additionally, you will be able to manage time and competing priorities, taking responsibility for your work and accountabilities.
