Join MAC Cosmetics as a Retail Artist in Belfast

About the Role:

As a Retail Artist at MAC Cosmetics, you will be the face of our brand, representing our image, products, and culture to customers. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service and sales, leveraging your artistic abilities and communication skills to meet and exceed customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service & Sales

Deliver personalized, professional service to all customers, ensuring a welcoming and interactive experience

Utilize effective communication skills to understand customer preferences and make product recommendations

Assist customers with product selection and information, providing makeup applications to achieve their desired look

Inform customers of available services, MAC consciousness programs, and philosophies

Meet individual sales targets and contribute to team goals in terms of service, sales, and company objectives

2. Team Work

Develop strong relationships with colleagues, providing great internal customer service

Manage time effectively on the counter, staying informed about products, company information, and store operations

Participate in store theme days, events, and new product launches, achieving Skills Certification requirements

3. Maintaining Work Environment

Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work area, including cleaning displayer units, tools, and testers

Maintain tester units in proper order, replacing products as authorized by management

Inform management of any store maintenance or Health and Safety issues

4. Administrative Assistance Activities

Assist with inventory counts, booking demos and lessons, and adhering to proper security procedures

5. Assist in Inventory Management

Assist daily in stock and hygiene supplies replenishment, maintaining appropriate levels throughout the day

Communicate low on stock and out of stocks to the Retail Manager

6. Adhering to Company Policies

Set an example in customer service, dress code, and professional standards expected by MAC

Qualifications
  • While a qualification in make-up artistry/previous retail make up experience is preferred, we welcome applicants with amateur level experience who are able to demonstrate a high level of creative and technical expertise
  • All applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to provide inspirational, authentic and personalized customer service
  • Ability to work retail hours including days, nights, weekends and special events in a fast-paced work environment
  • Previous experience with retail point-of-sale software
  • Applicants must be able to provide proof of right to live and work in the country if invited to attend for interview
