We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Specialist to join our Growth Hub Team at Northampton Borough Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting businesses across the region to achieve their growth ambitions.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including businesses, partners, and colleagues. You will also have a strong understanding of business development principles, including market analysis, competitor research, and sales strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct business diagnostics to identify growth opportunities and challenges
- Develop and implement tailored business support plans to help businesses achieve their growth objectives
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including businesses, partners, and colleagues
- Provide expert advice and guidance to businesses on business development, marketing, and sales strategies
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver business support programs and initiatives
Requirements
