Kitchen Operations Supervisor

We are looking for a skilled Kitchen Operations Supervisor to join our team at Edwinstree C of E School in Buntingford.
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Job OverviewThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring that meals are prepared and served to a high standard, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals, including catering for special dietary needs
- Oversee cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and dining areas
- Manage stocktaking and ordering of supplies
- Maintain and monitor budgets effectively
- Ensure compliance with the Food Safety Management System
- Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations
- Serve meals to students and staff
- Utilise IT systems for daily operations
- Foster positive relationships within the school community
- Motivate, develop, and support staff to reach their full potential
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have previous catering experience, a strong understanding of health and safety practices, and excellent timekeeping and reliability. They will also be proficient in IT and comfortable using technology, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
