Coventry City Council is seeking an exceptional Classroom Learning Assistant (SEND) to support the development of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. As a key member of our team, you will provide tailored support to meet the individual needs of our students.

You will be working closely with experienced teachers and other support staff to deliver high-quality interventions and social-emotional programs. Your ability to develop oracy and promote high expectations of all children will make a significant impact on their educational journey.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support teachers and children in our SEND provision
  2. Deliver Interventions and Social & Emotional Interventions
  3. Develop oracy when leading the learning with a group or class of children
  4. Promote high expectations of all children
  5. Work with children who have SEND
  6. Develop children as independent learners

Requirements:

  • Excellent Maths and English skills
  • Experience of delivering Interventions and Social & Emotional Interventions
  • Ability to develop oracy when leading the learning with a group or class of children
  • High expectations of all children
  • Experience of working with children who have SEND
