We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Team Lead to join our team at Magna International Inc.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development for highly safety-critical systems, specifically in the automotive industry. Our company is dedicated to developing industry-leading technologies, and we hire on the basis of experience and qualifications, regardless of factors such as color, ancestry, religion, gender, origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability or gender identity.

In this role, you will be responsible for the development of embedded software in C/C++ programming language, working mainly in the ECU and Microcontroller abstraction layers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, configure, and diagnose complex drivers, as well as participate in customer meetings to discuss technical topics and possible solutions.

  • You should have 8+ years of experience in software development for highly safety-critical systems (ASIL C/D) in the automotive industry.
  • Experience with project planning, team coordination, and leading is essential.
  • A strong understanding of automotive safety-related standards, such as ASPICE and AUTOSAR, is required.
  • German OEM experience and knowledge of i-steps handling and generic release planning are desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
