At Hearst UK, we're seeking an experienced editorial lead to join our team as Editor - House Beautiful. This role requires a high-level editorial professional with a deep understanding of quality content, visuals, and production processes.

About the Role

The Editor will be responsible for planning and executing the content strategy for House Beautiful, supporting the brand's growth plans across all platforms and customer touchpoints. This includes overseeing the commissioning and editing of original content, as well as the repurposing and curation of existing content for various channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the homes landscape, trends, new products, and brands on the market.
  • Collaborate with the Editor-In-Chief and Creative Director to realize the brand strategy and vision, ensuring a unified approach.
  • Work closely with the Deputy Editor and Daily Editor to deliver an integrated approach to content creation and production.
  • Lead the team in continuous creativity, contributing innovative ideas and experiences for cross-platform content.
  • Communicate the vision to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the team, guiding and supporting them to create best-in-class content that drives conversation and growth.
  • Ensure factual accuracy and legal safety of all copy, as well as consistency in tone and brand principles.
  • Work with the Group Chief Sub Editor to ensure an effective workflow and communicate any issues or changes in best practice.
  • Meet production deadlines in accordance with agreed schedules.
  • Support the smooth running of the print brand financially.
  • Help ensure the team has clear KPIs that deliver into the overall brand strategy.
  • Support licensing partners and work with the Commercial Content Director on planning and delivery of HB licensing content.
  • Be an ambassador of Hearst UK and its values.

About You

This role requires a highly experienced editorial lead with a deep understanding of quality content, visuals, and production processes. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, highly organized, and able to multi-task while maintaining the highest level of accuracy. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential, as well as a passion for homes and interiors.
