Electrical and Mechanical Equipment Engineer

The successful Electrical and Mechanical Equipment Engineer will be responsible for investigating plant failures and performing repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible to avoid interruptions to the process. They will also provide technical advice, referring to up-to-date technical knowledge, and providing training or support for technical trainees if required.
The engineer will work on equipment including motors, gearboxes, screw/chain conveyors, centrifuges, various pumps, and associated control gear, 3-phase motors, starters and controls, electronic control systems such as VSD, automatic valves, flow, level and pressure measurement, programmable logic controllers, variable speed drives and controls, chemical handling, and dosing equipment.
The salary for this position is up to £39,000 per annum depending on skills and experience, plus standby rota payments & overtime opportunities can increase this earning potential by up to a further £8,000-£10,000 per annum upon completion of essential company training.
