We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Companion to join our team at Be Caring. As a Care Companion, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to individuals in their homes, promoting their independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care that respects and promotes the dignity of our customers.
- Support customers to meet their outcomes, involving their families and professionals as needed.
- Connect customers to their communities, accessing local support and services.
- Deliver personalized care through individual choice and control.
- Communicate effectively with customers, families, and professionals, documenting and reporting as necessary.
- A competitive hourly rate of £ p/hr (drivers) and £ p/hr (walkers).
- Mileage reimbursement of 45p per mile for drivers and 20p per mile for cyclists.
- Bonus schemes, including up to £300 new starter bonus, £300 refer-a-friend bonus, and £300 annual bonus.
- A £25 birthday gift voucher.
As a Care Companion for Be Caring, you will work a variety of shifts, including late shifts and alternate weekends. We will agree your working pattern with you, setting a 2-week rota that includes:
- Alternate full weekends.
- Evenings as agreed within your working hours.
- Fully funded DBS checks.
- Paid induction training, including a 1-week classroom-based program and additional online modules.
- Training development opportunities, including funded Level 2 and other accredited courses.
- Holiday pay, with annual leave accumulating with working hours and length of service.
- Access to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), providing 24-hour helpline support and advice.
- Optional union membership through our partnership with the GMB.
