Job Overview

The Compliance Internship role at Natixis offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the UK Compliance Department. As a member of our team, you will have the chance to assist in various tasks, including routine testing, control work, and administrative support.

Main Responsibilities

Some key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Assisting with Senior Managers & Certification Regime (SMCR) tasks, including organizing regulatory training and exams, and coordinating staff movements.
  • Providing ODEON Ethics Training face-to-face for staff employees on Personal Account Dealing (PAD), Outside Business Interests (OBIs), and Gifts and Entertainment (G&E).
  • Maintaining the induction spreadsheet and record of paperwork associated.
  • Organizing and maintaining staff training records for both Compliance face-to-face and e-learning compliance trainings.
  • Maintaining OBIs, G&E, and PAD records in Odeon Ethics and assisting with associated paperwork.
  • Monitoring G&E records and PAD.
  • Maintaining the Compliance page on the Intranet.
  • Assisting with drafting and updating UK Compliance Department procedures.
  • Producing Monthly and Quarterly Management Informations, and bi-Annual first line of defence (CPN1 or 1LoD) Figures to Senior Management.
  • Assisting with controls designed to identify and monitor for non-compliance with French Banking Supervisory Authority regarding internal control.
  • Assisting the UK Head of Compliance and the UK Compliance Department in its general duties as required from time to time.

  • A Bachelor's degree or be in your penultimate year of study.
  • To be self-motivated, with a strong enthusiasm and aspiration to learn and develop.
  • Excellent team spirit, commitment, and flexibility.
  • Organized, methodical, and flexible, with the ability to investigate perceived or actual issues.
  • Good relationship building skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure while prioritizing competing objectives.
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
  • A strong interest in financial markets and/or risk management.
  • Understanding of the FCA/EU regulatory regime, preferably.
