Audit Senior Role Overview

We are seeking an ambitious Audit Senior to join our Corporate and Commercial Division, based in Ipswich. As an Audit Senior, you will play a key role in leading audit teams and ensuring client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit Management: Planning audit engagements, leading onsite teams, and overseeing all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion.
  • Client Interaction: Liaising with clients to resolve queries, preparing or reviewing audit documentation, and ensuring a strong understanding of clients' businesses.
  • Team Leadership: Coaching juniors, providing feedback, and delegating work effectively within the audit team.
  • Quality Control: Ensuring that audit objectives are met, controlling assignment time in line with budgets, and addressing technical and audit issues as they arise.
  • Professional Development: Attending training courses, maintaining an understanding of audit methodology, and using appropriate software packages.

Requirements:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Experience in leading external audits and managing a portfolio.
  • Experience with audit software (such as Caseware) and Microsoft packages.
