Job Summary
The Connaught Square Practice is seeking a highly motivated and organized Receptionist to provide exceptional patient care and support to our General Practitioners.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy and dynamic environment, where you will be responsible for welcoming and assisting patients, booking appointments, and maintaining accurate records.
Main Responsibilities:
- Providing a professional and patient-focused service to our GPs and patients
- Dealing with patient queries and concerns in a courteous and efficient manner
- Booking, cancelling, and amending appointments on SystmOne
- Monitoring patient flow and ensuring the appointment system accurately reflects patient arrival
- Using judgment and communication skills to prioritize patient needs and manage waiting times
- Explaining practice arrangements and procedures to new patients
- Answering the telephone and conveying messages in a timely manner
- Maintaining accurate records and logs of patient interactions
- Performing administrative tasks, including sorting mail and scanning patient correspondence
- Charging patients for private work and recording charges on patient records
- Monitoring repeat prescription requests and ensuring timely processing
- Alerting the Practice Manager to any complaints or potential issues
- Performing other ad-hoc tasks as required
Requirements:
We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Receptionist who possesses excellent interpersonal and customer care skills, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
