About The One Group

We are a high-performing finance team in Cambridge, seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Part Qualified/Finalist/Newly Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA Accountant to join us.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare month-end management accounts with analysis and commentary, highlighting key financial trends and areas for improvement.
  • Complete all month-end processes, including accruals and prepayments, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Prepare and update monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of our financial records.
  • Support the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in creating a weekly cash flow forecast, providing essential insights into our financial situation.
  • Conduct intercompany reconciliations to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Assist with the annual budget preparation and statutory audit process, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Compile and check payroll data for our third-party payroll provider, guaranteeing accuracy and efficiency.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable processes and supervise two Accounts Payable assistants, ensuring smooth operations.

Requirements:

  • Part Qualified/Finalist/Newly Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA Accountant qualification.
  • Experience working within a private equity-backed company, understanding the unique challenges and opportunities this presents.
  • Strong grasp of financial processes and PE-backed environments, enabling effective decision-making.
  • Previous experience working for an international organisation, demonstrating adaptability and cultural awareness.
  • Payroll experience, including UK and overseas operations, and working with third-party providers.
  • Ambitious, driven, determined, high-energy individual with confidence and a strong work ethic.
