Energy Management Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Plant Development Team as a Energy Management Specialist, where you will be responsible for leading energy process reductions in the plant. To succeed in this role, you will need hands-on experience within a manufacturing environment and a bachelor's degree in chemistry, engineering, or manufacturing.

The successful candidate will take a hands-on approach to achieving the plant's energy and sustainability goals, ensuring compliance with ISO 50001, Knauf's internal standards, and the business management system. You will stay up to date with the latest energy and sustainability policies and technologies and manage energy optimization and sustainability improvement projects.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify savings opportunities and perform profitability calculations for energy-saving projects.
  • Drive improvement and enhance energy efficiency through both technical and practical solutions, including process, plant, and system optimization.
  • Utilize renewable energy sources where possible.
  • Lead awareness-raising activities (training, demonstrations) for all staff and the wider business.
  • Take responsibility for energy compliance at the site, leading ISO 50001 audits and UK-ETS verification.

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
