Senior Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our Residential Service for Adults with Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs in Builth Wells. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our service users, promoting their independence, and enabling them to live happy, healthy, and meaningful lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Service Manager in managing the team and the service
  • Plan rotas and manage staff teams to ensure effective service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with service policies and procedures
  • Encourage independence and support individuals to make their own choices
  • Ensure the safety of service users and follow care plans for each individual
  • Take service users out into the community and participate in activities such as arts, crafts, gardening, and day trips
  • Varying levels of personal care
Requirements:
  • NVQ or QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care and willingness to work towards Level 3
  • Senior Support Worker experience
  • Must be resilient and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Drivers are essential due to the nature of the role
  • Candidates must be happy to provide personal care
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary of £25,293 - £28,413
  • Full-time permanent contract with 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday working pattern with one weekend day shift every 4 weeks
